Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Election: April 18, 2020

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation requests that every voter take additional precautions when attending the polls on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Private Tom Chief Memorial Centre and in the City of Winnipeg at the Indigenous Family Centre, 470 Selkirk Ave. For your own safety, and the safety of others in the community and attending the polls, please follow the below procedures when attending the polls:

  • Attend the polls to vote only. When you enter the polling station, please proceed directly to the polls to vote, and do not remain in the polling station any longer than necessary in order to cast your ballot. Once you have voted, please leave the polling station.
  • Ensure that you are keeping a safe distance from all others at the polling station and avoid crowding others in line or while waiting to vote.
  • Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer prior to and after attending the polling station to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact m.
