Reference: Lunch invitation (January 30, 2020, at 1:30 p.m.), $25.00 reward for research participation, and an invitation to a feast (March 2020).
This is an invitation for Brokenhead Ojibway Nation members to participate in an information session to launch a community-based research project entitled “Food and Health Correlation: A Statistical Analysis for Brokenhead Ojibway Nation”. The event will be held at the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Health Centre Boardroom, on January 30, 2020, at 1:30 p.m.
Lunch and coffee will be served at this information session!
You will have an opportunity to join in a pray, obtain information regarding the relevance of this research project and to ask questions. From January 31 to February 14, BON’s members will have the opportunity to fill a one hour survey form to collect the required research data, and receive $25.00, in cheque or in cash upon its completion.
Survey participants and community members are also invited in advance to join in a feast to be held on March 10, 2020, to review the draft of the preliminary findings of the research project.
We are interested in identifying the principal determinants of the community member’s health; we especially want to know the role of diet and its possible link with the presence of common diseases in the community. This information is essential, as it will inform the community leaders and service providers in the delivery of adequate and accurate solution-based objectives that will directing contribute to the wellbeing of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, when developing and implementing strategic plans and policies.
